If you've dabbled with a Linux distribution such as Ubuntu, or openSUSE and want to remove it from your Windows XP machine, how can you do this without trashing your Windows XP install? Worse, how can you do this if you either, don't have a Windows XP install disk or even a CD/DVD drive. Here's how: DON'T SIMPLY DELETE THE PARTITION CONTAINING LINUX. Free Software Alternatives
Software can be expensive and these days many people have more than one desktop or laptop PC in the home, so it's worth considering the free alternatives available. Standard Office ApplicationsSuites of office applications (Word Processors, Spreadsheets, Presentation Software) can be one of the most expensive purchases users make. Instead of this expensive, there are several excellent free alternatives. My personal favourite is OpenOffice. OpenOffice is an established, feature rich suite of applications. Water In Your Mower?
With water in your mower's carburettor it's unlikely to start. Here's how to fix it. Try and get as much of the fuel out of the mower as you can. Then take the spark plug out and crank the motor over several times. This will force out any water or fuel that might be in the motor. Next hook the plug wire back on the plug. Do not put the plug back in the mower. Instead with rubber gloves hold the plug base against something metal on the mower. Look at the end of the plug where the spark comes out to see if you are getting a spark. (It should .....

The ProblemOne of your nearest and dearest attempts to dispose of a nappy (diaper), wipes, or masses of toilet paper by flushing them down your toilet. Your toilet becomes blocked. The SolutionStart by trying to bail as much of the water as you can out of the toilet pan. Next use an old mop and cover the mop head with several plastic bags. (You could use supermarket plastic bags, freezer bags, or bin liners.) Secure these bags around the mop handle with string. Make sure that they can't come off, because we don't want to make the problem you .....

How to fix a leaky washing machine?
Is your washing machine making your home flood? Never worry, follow these simple step to locate the leak and fix it yourself. Step 1Find out where the leak is coming from. Does it leak during one part of the cycle or constantly? A constant leak indicates a leak in the valve where the hose is bent from the water supply to the washer and supply valves. The other option can be when the washer is shaking or pumping the water between cycles. Step 2Check if it is leaking during both cycles. If so just as the water starts to drain, lift the lid .....

Free Anti-Virus Program Options
This is a question which is asked a lot. Which is the best free Anti-Virus Program available today? Opinions vary. If you spend some time reading reviews you'll find quite a wide range of opinions. Expert opinions particularly from those able run lab tests of Anti-Virus products are certainly useful research. Users' opinions less so. The trouble with user opinions is that very few users check their PCs using a second Anti-Virus program. This means when they say "I've been using X for years and never been infected with a virus", you have to co .....
